To apply for a library card, visit any Aurora Public Library location. You’ll need to fill out an application form and bring photo I.D. AND proof of residence within the incorporated City of Aurora.
A driver’s license showing your current street address is the easiest way to apply. If you don’t have that, we will accept current photo ID plus:
- A checkbook with name and current street address printed on the checks
- A current lease with your name and address on it
- A utility bill from the last 30 days with your name and current street address printed on it
- A recent paystub with your name and current street address printed on it
If your ID has a P.O. Box or business address printed on it, you still have to present proof of your current street address.
For a more comprehensive list of the types of photo I.D.s and proof of residency documents we accept, please review the full circulation policy.
