The Library Board of Directors recognizes the need to communicate effectively in order to promote awareness and understanding of the library’s goals and objectives throughout the community. The policy applies to all official library communications such as newsletters, press releases, flyers, any of the various social networking postings and requests for comments and/or information from media outlets.
The three major goals of the library with regard to public information are:
All public communications and campaigns, generated at any level, will be reviewed by the Public Information Manager with final approval from the Executive Director.
The Public Information Manager, under the direction of the Executive Director, is responsible for the development and distribution of internal procedures established to insure consistency of content and design.
