Welcome to our information page for the new Main Aurora Public Library. The library will be located on the corner of Benton and River streets in downtown Aurora, a block west of where the library currently is located. A groundbreaking ceremony was held on May 1, 2013. The library is expected to open to the public in Spring, 2015.
On March 4, Secretary of State and State Librarian Jesse White visited the Aurora Public Library to present a check for $10.8 million (in reimbursable funds) to Aurora Public Library Executive Director Eva Luckinbill, Library Board President John Savage, and Mayor Tom Weisner.
