The Aurora Public Library District is now open for study room reservations. Customers can call or make an appointment online to make a one-hour appointment to use a study room. No same day appointments can be made at this time. 

Please note, we will adjust our plans as things continue to develop. Thank you for your patience with extended waiting periods during this time!

Mondays: 10 a.m. - 6 p.m.

Tuesdays: 10 a.m. - 6 p.m.

Wednesdays: 12 p.m. - 8 p.m.

Thursdays: 12 p.m. - 8 p.m.

Fridays: CLOSED

Saturdays: 10 a.m. - 2 p.m.

Sundays: 1 - 5 p.m.

How It Works

1.     Make an appointment by calling 630-264-4117 or here. Appointments can be made up to 7 days in advance, no same day appointments are available at this time. Please note, a total maximum limit of 60 minutes is allowed in the library which may include a combination of Browse & Go, Study Rooms and Public Computer appointments.

2.     At the time of your scheduled appointment, enter the library at the designated entrance.

3.     A security guard will be stationed at the main entrance of each library location with a list of study room appointments for the day. Please give the security guard your name and appointment time at the door. 

4.     One 60 minute appointment is allowed per day. Please note, a total maximum limit of 60 minutes is allowed in the library which may include a combination of Study Room Reservation, Browse & Go and Public Computer appointments.

FAQs

Do I have to wear a mask?

Yes. Face coverings are required at all times while inside an Aurora Public Library facility.

How do I know that it is safe to use a study room?

The Aurora Public Library District takes the safety of our customers and staff very seriously. Every study room will be cleanedafter every use. Additionally, there will be a mandatory 60-minute gap between appointments, during which library staff will clean and disinfect the study room.

Can I use any study room I want?

No. A room will be assigned during your appointment. Please use the assigned study room in order to ensure the study room provided has been disinfected. 

How long is my study room reservation for?

One 60 minute appointemnt will be allowed per day.

How many sessions can I have in a day?

All customers are currently limited to oneappointment per day. Please note, a total maximum limit of 60 minutes is allowed in the library which may include a combination of Study Room Reservation, Browse & Go and Public Computer appointments.

Can I bring guests with me?

No. One guest is allowed per study room. 

Can I use a study room without a library card?

Yes. All customers are able to make a study room reservation. 

What if rooms are available?

 We have increased our furniture in open areas for study-type environments! Feel free to use a table 

Other Available Services

The library's online resources are still available, including 24/7 access to the digital library, homework help via our databases, getting a library card, and engaging with virtual programs. To find all our resources to use from home, visit www.aurorapubliclibrary.org/At-Home.

Customers can place items on hold from home, and library staff will contact customers when holds are ready to schedule a pickup time. For more information, please visit www.aurorapubliclibrary.org/curbside.

Beginning July 13, customers will be able to register for an appointment online or by phone to browse the library's collection in person. For the safety of our customers and staff, appointments are limited to one hour per day. For more information, please visit www.aurorapubliclibrary.org/browse-go.
