The C.B.& Q. Railroad West Eola Mexican Boxcar Camp

Tuesday, September 23 - Wednesday, October 15
Santori Library - Atrium

The immigration of Mexican railroad workers and their families to Aurora is an integral part of our city's history. This history is featured in our newest display, which includes a scale model of the Mexican boxcar camp and metal reclamation plant created by Dr. Alejandro Benavides and a bilingual (English/Spanish) poster exhibit. This exhibit was created in partnership with Dr. Alejandro Benavides and the Aurora Latino Historical and Cultural Foundation, and it will be on display through Wednesday, October 15.
