Winter Reading Adventure December 1 - January 31

As the days grow shorter and the winter chill settles in, there’s no better time to grab a warm drink, snuggle up with a good book, and join the Aurora Public Library District for one of our favorite annual traditions: the Winter Reading Adventure (WRA)! This beloved program brings together readers of all ages for a season filled with creativity, reading, and plenty of opportunities to discover something new. Whether you’re a returning participant or joining us for the first time, this year’s WRA promises to be snow-tacular!

Year 2025 recap, and what lies ahead in 2026

The year 2025 was a year of celebration, growth, and meaningful connection at the Aurora Public Library District. Together with our community, we marked milestones like Santori Library’s 10th birthday and the Foundation’s 25th anniversary, launched a new reading incentive program for middle school students (100 Books Before High School), and welcomed more than 5,400 “guess how many” entries at our Circulation Desks. These moments reflect more than numbers; they tell the story of how the library continues to grow alongside the people we serve. Here’s a look back at some highlights we accomplished together in 2025, and a preview of what’s coming in 2026.
