Register for Your Teacher Card

Teachers who work at a school in the City of Aurora can sign up for a 1-year teacher card. Teachers have full access to the library’s collections including online resources. Teachers are also able to request special services like classroom loans, bookmobile visits, librarian visits, and library tours.

Book a Service for Your Classroom

Library staff is available for storytimes, school visits, library tours, and literacy nights for schools within our service area. We also do outreach at school events! To schedule a service for your school or classroom, please call 630-264-4117 or complete the Library Tour Request Form.

Teacher Loan Service

Teacher loans on a Teacher Library Card are available to schools within Aurora city limits. Authorized school personnel can fill our the form below or call 630-264-4117 for requests to be delivered to your school.

When requesting over the phone, please include:

  • Teacher's name
  • School name/address/phone
  • Grade
  • Subject matter of titles desired
  • Categories requested (read-aloud, books for students to read, non-fiction, fiction, etc.)
  • Reading Level(s)
  • Number of books wanted (max 20/min 15)

Requests for specific items may be limited based on availability. Loan periods for books on school cards is 8 weeks with no renewals. Interlibrary Loan service is not available on a Teacher Library Card.
