We also carry a collection of large print books for adults. The Bookmobile has scheduled stops Monday - Saturday, and is also available for special event appearances including, but not limited to, parades, citywide festivals, school celebrations, and other community events.
Bookmobile Community Stops are weekdays from 2:30-3:15 p.m.
Did you know the Aurora Public Library District offers free home delivery of library materials? This “no contact” delivery service is open to Aurora residents who meet any of the following criteria:
Place your own holds via phone or our website, select “Bookmobile” as your pick-up location, and call the Outreach Services Department at 630-723-2705. After determining qualification for the program, you will be contacted when the holds have arrived to arrange the delivery date and window of time, which is dependent on driver availability. Items are left near the front door in a disposable plastic bag, already checked out to your account.
Outreach Services staff bring books, DVDs, audio books, and other library items to senior living facilities with two different monthly services:
Conducted at area preschools, daycares, and by special request, monthly storytimes include interactive stories, songs, finger plays, puppets and various movement activities for young children. During the summer months, Stories in the Parks is offered on the Bookmobile, in addition to Stories at the Zoo at Phillips Park Zoo. Please contact us for more information.
